David was a guest on Sabado Gigante with Don Francisco, and was presented with a plaque of recognition for his work in Mexico. The show aired in July 2009 on Univision.

In 2009, David Puckett was the recipient of the Ellis Island NECO Award, which is presented annually to American citizens of diverse origins who have made exceptional contributions to their communities, their nation, and the world. He was one of 98 in the world presented this honor.
